A New Era Begins: Salt Lake Bees' Opening Homestand Kicks Off Downtown Daybreak's Season of Openings

It’s more than just baseball—it’s the beginning of something big.

On April 8, the Salt Lake Bees stepped up to the plate for their 2025 sold-out home opener, not just in a new season but in their brand-new home, The Ballpark at America First Square, the centerpiece of the Larry H. Miller Real Estate’s bold new vision: Downtown Daybreak. Set in South Jordan, this transformative district blends sports, entertainment, and community into one vibrant destination.

Constructed in just 15 months, the ballpark offers fans and players alike a Major League experience. It features field-level suites that bring fans closer to the catcher than the pitcher, MLB-caliber amenities, panoramic views of the Wasatch Mountains, and elevated dining, entertainment, and concession options. The ballpark sets a new standard for Triple-A baseball and for Utah entertainment as a whole.
Thanks to collaboration between the Larry H. Miller Company, Utah Transit Authority, and South Jordan City, fans were able to access the stadium using the newly completed South Jordan Downtown TRAX stop delivered years ahead of schedule.
But the ballpark is only the beginning. As part of a broader “Season of Openings,” Downtown Daybreak will soon welcome a new Megaplex, an outdoor concert venue, and several locally loved restaurants. Together, these additions are designed to create a year-round hub for connection, culture, and celebration.

Whether you’re coming for baseball, concerts, dining, or simply to enjoy a sunset at the square, there’s never been a better time to explore this new chapter in Utah’s story. The Bees have landed in Downtown Daybreak, and it is just the first pitch.
